SQL e-Invoice Setup, Training and Support

Syntax Technologies helps Malaysian businesses set up and use SQL Accounting for e-Invoice workflows, with software training and support.

Your e-Invoice obligations depend on the applicable implementation date, exemption criteria and transaction rules. Check our Malaysia e-Invoice Guide before deciding how your business should issue and submit documents.

e-Invoices and Supporting Documents

e-Invoice requirements and income-tax deductibility are separate matters. The documents required depend on the transaction, the parties involved and the applicable rules.

Keep invoices, receipts and other supporting records. Do not assume that every expense without an e-Invoice is automatically non-deductible.

Preparing Your e-Invoice Data

Prepare supplier and buyer details, document information, item descriptions, classifications, tax information and totals.

Field requirements depend on the document type and transaction. Refer to the current MyInvois SDK specifications, and confirm the required setup for your SQL Accounting version with our support team.

Review Your Invoicing Workflow

Before setting up your system, identify the areas relevant to your business:

Use our Get Started With e-Invoice guide to prepare your questions for the setup discussion.

Customer TIN Lookup

Ask our team about the TIN lookup functions available in your SQL Accounting version, the identification details required and how to review the returned results.

Monitor Your e-Invoice Workflow

SQL Accounting provides e-Invoice status tracking. Review whether documents have been submitted, validated, marked invalid or cancelled, and follow up on documents that need attention.

Discuss your transaction types and software version with our team to confirm the available functions and the steps your staff should follow.

Step 2: Check the Validation Result and UUID

After a successful sandbox validation, check the E-Invoice Status window. The example below shows a Valid status and the document’s unique identifier (UUID), together with a QR code and submission and validation timestamps.

Check the returned status for each submission; a submitted document still needs a successful validation result.
